So if you haven't heard, Singapore played host to the regional Asian premiere of the much anticipated movie; The Huntsman: Winter's War directed by the amazing director of Maleficent and starring A-list actresses Charlize Theron alongside Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain and hollywood hunk Chris Hemsworth. This prestigious event drew crowds from all over our neighbourhood countries with media and fans flying in from Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan and I even witnessed the presence of E news host. I was lucky enough to be blessed with a pair of premiere movies passes and the privilege of being in the 'fanzone' for the red carpet all thanks to Mediacorp Toggle SG. [Review] Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice

So I managed to catch this highly anticipated movie on the opening night itself thanks to our Good Friday holiday which allows me to stay up late. Dressed in our appropriate t-shirts to show our support for the movie, my family headed down a nearby cinema for the show. Overall, I thought the movie was ok. There were a couple of reviews from previous special screenings which were negative but after having watched it myself, I thought it was pretty decent. *Don't read on if you don't like spoilers* Plot wise I thought it was a good opening movie leading up to the formation of Justice League. The insight on Batman was done in an apt and concise way and the merging of the two timelines; Batman and Superman universe was cleared quickly within the start which creates a solid base for the rest of the movie. The only thing I did not like was the age gap between the characters and the fact that Superman was simply too new to Earth. Props to Ben Affleck; he was the m

KOREA 2014: DAY 13 ~ SEOUL: Tous Les Jours, YG, The Cafe BBQ (Sungyeol), Departure from Incheon Airport

29 OCT 2014 And today marks the day we say goodbye to Korea. Having already packed our bags (appropriately and neatly so to best facilitate our VAT claims), and done with shopping, today was one which we were going to take easy. We still got up pretty early anyway, paying a visit to the Tous Les Jours cafe just across our hotel, we decided it was a must go since it was practically located at every other street in Seoul. I thought the variety was decent and a good cup of coffee was had at every cafe so far. With our bodies warmed and stomachs filled, we were good to enjoy our last few hours in Seoul. We took a short walk over to YG Entertainment for symbolism sake before attempting to find our way to the Han River. I knew where Eunhae liked to hang out but we couldn't be bothered. We figured; it's just this long river that runs through Korea so any spot was fine we just wanted to snap a photo at the famous river. And guess what? Despite the above fact and kno

Short Impulse Trip to BKK

Starting off this post on a slightly heavier note; Be Strong BKK I am glad to not have been caught in the midst of all the terror happening in the country right now; thank god for my four peaceful days spent (first time ever) in Bangkok. My prayers goes out to all those involved in the horrible ruthless bombing incident. May the culprit be caught soon, justice served and the streets to become safe for everyone. First up, the reason for deciding to make this trip. As per the title; it was an impulse trip. Being in the mode of slight depression over not seeing them for another two years paired with good internet connection enabling me to get decent seats for the concert and hence after confirming with Mummy if she wanted a short vacation, I was set for Bangkok 10th - 13th August 2015. DAY 1 Arriving at the airport in the ungodly hours of the morning (Thank you Daddy for the ride!) with our matching luggage and luggage tags (Thanks Bestie for the loan!) - we were set for our
