Valentine's Day
My first Valentine's Day spent with Rory =]
No we did not plan anything massive due to school and work I guess? But darling booked us in for a romantic dinner anyway <3 He came over to my place after work to pick me and Sparky (my car) up and drove us over to his club where dinner was booked. It was a really nice and quiet restaurant and (as per a lot of other restaurants) only serving the V-day dinner there so there was about 2 other couples there.
Very romantic nice atmosphere (duh) and first up we were served bread with these: I only put some cheese on my bread; not too fond of the other 2
Picture of the night taken by the waiter =] Thank you very much boyfriend for making this such a lovely night. I really enjoyed dinner and your company of course; as usual.

And this was the gift all the ladies got ;-)
First dish: Foie Gras with cheese and caviar on top
It was meant to be eaten together but I didnt quite work for me so I are them separately which worked well since I think they had great tastes each on their own
Second dish: Escargot
This was cooked pretty well and they looked and tasted a bit like mushrooms haha. Nah it had a nice chewy texture and it did not have a strong shell-fish taste. Yummy.
Third dish: Sea urchin soup
The name actually freaked me out a bit because I've never had sea urchin before and honestly the soup looked like it would have a strong sharp taste but no it was actually very light and the tiny bits of meat within were very much edible.
Fourth dish: Sorbet
Ok this is not a dish but oh well I will mention it anyway because it was served. Main purpose was for you to cleanse your pellet before the main course.
Fifth dish: Main course of beef cheek
We were offered a choice of duck or beef and we both chose beef. I did so because I felt like eating beef since I just had duck the day before. It was very delicious, the meat was very tender even though I wasnt too huge on the large amount of fats/veins? I could barely finish my main course
Sixth dish: Dessert; chocolate mousse
Yes I was very full but there is always room in the stomach for dessert as proven by Suju in EHB. Duh it was good. How can chocolate cake ever go wrong
Seventh dish: Tea
Ok obviously not a dish either but it was the final serving of the night; tea with pralines. Boyfriend does not like praline so I got 2! Hehe
