HAPPY 22ND BIRTHDAY
This year I decided to plan a weekend getaway to Batam with my loved ones =]
Im not going to do an extremely long blog post because
1) Im tired
2) Pictures up on facebook do a much better job in expressing the fun I had in Batam =]
First day was basically the ferry trip to Batam itself followed by a bus tour around the city. Bought a Polo Ralph Lauren shirt within my first stop there cause the shirt was just too pretty to resist. For some weird reason Batam is like a PRL haven. humph wondering if they are actually real. Not very cheap but not as expensive as the ones in Singapore. Oh well. Shall not regret my purchase. But I exercise enormous self control thereafter and did not make anymore purchases until we reached our hotel in the late evening. OH and I did not know that Batam is actually one hour behind us. I always thought we had the same timezone! haha. So basically we gained an hour when we reached there =] After a buffet dinner by the poolside we decided to play pool! haha. My dad is pro. Haha. MK and Fiqah's pretty good too. Mum's new at the game. AND I Improved! hahaha which is major good news for me. Now I can actually hit the right balls haha. When it was 11pm at Batam we stopped playing and headed back to our rooms and I realised then that it had past midnight Singapore time and mummy wished my Happy Birthday =] Got a couple of SMSes but I didnt reply cause of extra charges but thanks to all you lovely people: Aneesha, Pratik, Mich, Kiakia. (and Audrey for the early wish before I went off to Batam) Played cluedo and went to bed. I took the queen size bed with four pillow for myself =P It was the master bedroom with toilet attached hehe. I demanded for it just because it was my birthday and Im a princess =]
Next morning we woke up pretty early and headed for buffet breakfast by the hotel. Then we took a short cab ride where our water activities began!! Parasailing followed by banana boat and then jet ski and finishing it up with kayak-ing.Basically it was full of laughter and screams haha. Parasailing wasnt as scary as I thought it would be. Thought I would feel the butterflies and all but nope we went up very gently and smoothly. Funny thing was...I was too light to be dipped! haha. Banana boat was seriously just laughing time. It went pretty fast and all and basically everytime it turned or water splashed we laughed like mad haha. jet ski...well I was a disaster haha the guy had to breathe a sigh of relief when I was done HAHA. Kayak-ing was actually tiring. And colliding with MK was funny. Add to that the moment when the boat was heading towards us and omg if Fiqah and me rowed that way in a competition we would have won. I have no idea how and why we suddenly rowed so fast in such a straight line out of danger and of course with a lot of screaming haha. Made our way back to the hotel to wash up before lunch. Lunch was a surprise!! Mummy had a guy buy a cake for me the day before and the staff brought it out for me during lunch OMG SO SWEET!!!!!!!! I was damn touched but I didnt cry haha I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!! Then we checked out and departure was a rather painful wait at the ferry terminal. Then it was nap time all the way home.
Just wanted to say that this trip has been soooooo fun and enjoyable. All thanks to my daddy who didnt hesitate at all in payment etc the moment I mentioned I wanted it. He's so sweet and generous. Mummy who was going all out to make my birthday an unforgettable one. And of course MK and Fiqah to provide the entertainment and spoiling me as usual.
Ending off this post with mummy helping me put on my birthday present - Tiffany & Co signature heart pendant with the diamond.
